SARASOTA, Fla. (November 18, 2005) - In an effort to build upon the popularity of the 20-foot Speedster, Chris-Craft has given a fresh new look to a member of its Launch fleet, the Launch 22. This new "Speedsterized" version consists of a 22-foot hull that has been redesigned for added comfort and performance.

"The backbone of our business is the ability to constantly reinvent ourselves and our products," says Steve Heese, President of Chris-Craft. "This new version of our Launch 22 not only serves as a great example of that but displays the talent and thought that we put into every model we introduce."

The new Launch 22 is comprised of a 100 percent wood-free deep-V hull. The design consists of a one piece fiberglass stringer system including inner cockpit sole deck storage and an engine liner consisting of 38.7 cubic feet of closed cell foam to ensure flotation, strength and a quiet ride.

A larger swim platform with hinged ladder and hinged lid allows for easy access. The cockpit features a larger bow seating area than the original and full aft u-shaped seating with improved helm seat clearance and optional sun lounge filler cushions, which convert to a sun lounge and teak table with storage rack. The cockpit provides comfortable seating for eight guests. The boat comes standard with eight cup holders and grab rails in each seating area for added security.

Additional molded-in storage is found conveniently within the bow and aft seating. A center floor storage area under the cockpit sole contains a bi-fold hatch large enough for skis, a standard 26 quart cooler and other carry on items. The port and starboard consoles consist of hinged cushions with additional storage underneath. The boat contains more than 13 cubic feet of storage space overall.

The new deck profile is designed to have large flowing curves and classic Chris-Craft styling. Chris-Craft's trademark stainless steel windshield is larger in both length and height on this new version and has longer side wings. The bow contains a new wind door to help protect passengers during colder climates.

The new Launch 22 also boasts improved helm and passenger console ergonomics. The custom dash is designed with carbon fiber switch panel inserts for every possible accessory. Forward of the motor box on top of the aft seat, passengers will find a pull-up ski pylon.

The boat comes standard with a Volvo 5.0L Gxi stern drive engine and a single stainless steel propeller .The new integrated engine cover is designed similar to that of Chris-Craft's Speedster with mylar insulation to drown out noise. The bilge area also consists of the practical mylar insulation. Within the engine room, passengers can find storage hooks for their biminis.

On-board entertainment can be found in the form of a companion console glove box with Sony AM/FM stereo and a CD player. The entertainment system also comes ready with SIRIUS Satellite Radio hook-up and an aux input for your MP3 or iPod.

The Launch 22 Heritage Edition is standard in the form of Chris-Craft's famous teak wood, which adds style and elegance to every model. The boat also comes with teak side deck rails and a recessed teak platform.

The new Launch 22 will appear in Chris-Craft's 2006 model line and can be seen at boat shows and dealer events across the world.
