SARASOTA, Fla. (December 23, 2005) - Because of the 20-foot Speedster's popularity, Chris-Craft has introduced a limited edition "Woody" with 99 numbered copies. The special edition will feature Chris-Craft's signature wood finishes, as well as a unique upholstery design.
"The backbone of our business is the ability to constantly reinvent ourselves and our products," says Steve Heese, President of Chris-Craft. "This new version of our Speedster is due to the overwhelming popularity of the model we introduced in 2005. Many of our customers love our signature teak, so we wanted to come up with something unique to the Speedster."
The Speedster Woody Edition features a beautiful teak deck, teak coaming rails, a solid mahogany steering wheel, a real wood burl dash and teak and stainless steel inlaid logo. In addition to the beautiful wood is a real carbon fiber switch panel, plenty of stainless steel accents and a "baseball glove" interior color scheme. The boat has a custom gel coat color of light tan with a khaki boot stripe that turns heads on the water.
The boat will be available for a limited time during the 2006 model year, but once the 99 boats have customer names on them, the Woody will be just a part of Chris-Craft's long and memorable history.
