CHRIS-CRAFT’S LEGENDARY DESIGN WILL BE ON FULL DISPLAY IN MIAMI WITH NEW CARINA 20
Sarasota, FL – February, 2012 – After the successful launch of three new boats last year Chris-Craft brings to the Miami International Boat Show an entirely new version of luxury, in only twenty feet. The Carina 20 embraces design cues from the brand’s original DNA and speaks the language of speed and luxury fluently. This new runabout is built with a vertical bow profile complete with stainless steel bow plate and also carries the classic sloped tumblehome that has become a signature of Chris-Craft design. This year’s showboat will also sport a new graphite metallic paint color that is now available in the Chris-Craft line-up. Steve Heese, Chris-Craft President, said: “The Carina 20 speaks to the past but the design appeal is forward thinking and unmistakably Chris-Craft.” The Carina 20 will have a new interior scheme with new materials and diamond pattern upholstery.
The Carina 20, whose official name was recently announced on Boating Magazine’s Facebook page to much fanfare, will be the first of two vertical bow boats that Chris-Craft will produce this year. The next edition vertical bow series will debut in the summer of 2013 and will have a closed-deck.
Two other boats make their North American at the show as the new 2013 Corsair 32, and the new 2013 Corsair 36 Hard Top will also be presented.
